Each year, the Scottsdale Chamber honors individuals, companies, and non-profits with induction into the Scottsdale History Hall of Fame. Over the past 29 years, 147 Scottsdale leaders and 31 organizations that have contributed to the legacy of Scottsdale have been inducted.

2025 Inductees
Kate Birchler
Kate Birchler has been a dedicated advocate for Scottsdale’s vibrant community for nearly 30 years, championing its live-work-play ethos. A proud resident, Kate lives in Scottsdale with her husband and two daughters, both students in the Scottsdale Unified School District. With 25 years of expertise in tourism marketing, she has played a pivotal role in elevating Scottsdale’s profile through her work with Macerich Shopping Centers, particularly at Scottsdale Fashion Square and Kierland Commons. Kate’s passion for service is evident in her leadership roles on civic and nonprofit boards, including the Scottsdale Charros Foundation, Fresh Start Women’s Foundation, and Experience Scottsdale, where she serves as Board Chair. She has also contributed to the city’s development through her tenure as Chair of Scottsdale’s Tourism Development Commission and as a graduate of Scottsdale Leadership. Kate’s efforts have earned her recognition as Arizona Foothills Magazine’s VIP Valley Influencer and Tourism Person of the Year.
Frank Jacobsen
Frank has spent over 50 years enriching his community through leadership in management, fundraising, and strategic planning. As the founding President and CEO of the Scottsdale Cultural Council (now Scottsdale Arts), he helped transform Scottsdale into a cultural hub, overseeing the creation of the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, commissioning over 50 public art installations, and fostering local and international arts programs. Later, as Vice President of Philanthropic Services at Jewish Family & Children’s Service, Frank increased fundraising by 75%, expanded legacy commitments, and spearheaded the $3.2 million campaign for the Michael R. Zent Healthcare facility. Today, Frank continues to make an impact as Director of a $40 million capital campaign for the Hilton Family Holocaust Education Center and as a board member for Scottsdale Community Bank. A Scottsdale Charro, Frank has also served on numerous nonprofit boards and committees, tirelessly supporting the Scottsdale community.
Steve & Lisa Randall
Married for 41 years, Steve and Lisa met as freshman at Saguaro High School and have been together ever since. Deputy Fire Chief for the Scottsdale Fire Department, Steve retired after 39 years of service in 2019. Lisa began her professional career after raising their children, and worked for Family Promise of Greater Phoenix, the Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce and now as the Executive Director of Lexie’s Voice. Together Steve and Lisa have served on numerous boards including Partners for Paiute and the Scottsdale Historical Society, where Steve served 4 terms as President. Steve is a Lifer with the Scottsdale Charros, and both are active Scottsdale Leadership Alumni: Steve Class 10 and Lisa Class 28 where she was the recipient of the 2020 Scottsdale Leadership Hodges Alumni Achievement Award.
Doreen Reinke
Doreen Reinke is a dedicated leader and advocate for community growth and development, blending decades of professional excellence with a passion for service. Currently serving as COO of RaisinBread, an online insurance provider for small businesses, Doreen retired from Nationwide after a distinguished career, including roles as VP of Operations and member of the Executive Leadership Team. A two-time recipient of Insurance Business America’s “Top 125 Women in Insurance to Watch,” Doreen leverages her expertise to give back. She has served as Chair of the Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce Board, Scottsdale Leadership, and the Scottsdale/Paradise Valley YMCA. Doreen is also a member of the President’s Advisory Council at Scottsdale Community College and Scottsdale’s Community Celebrating Diversity planning committee. Doreen’s commitment to mentorship and community is exemplified by her leadership on boards and committees that shape Scottsdale’s civic and cultural landscape.

Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West
Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West, a Smithsonian Affiliate since its first year of operation, is a premier cultural institution situated in Old Town Scottsdale. Envisioned by former Scottsdale Mayor Herb Drinkwater, the museum was created to honor Scottsdale’s legacy as “The West’s Most Western Town.” In January 2025 Western Spirit celebrates its 10th year of operation. True West Magazine calls it the Best Western Museum in the United States and is an Editor’s Choice. With 43,000 square feet of space (and a 12,000-foot expansion underway), Western Spirit features innovative exhibitions (The Eddie Basha Collection of paintings and sculptures has just opened), a 135-seat theater, and a sculpture courtyard.
