Scottsdale Chamber Announces The 2023 Inductees For The 28th Annual Scottsdale History Hall of Fame

The Past Presidents’ Council of the Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce today announced the 2023 Inductees for the 28th Annual Scottsdale History Hall of Fame event, presented by the Scottsdale Charros, to be held Thursday, May 18, 2023. The event honoring individuals, local companies, and non-profit organizations is presented by event sponsor, the Scottsdale Charros.

Prestigious 36th Annual Sterling Awards Recognize Business Excellence

Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce Launches New Website

Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce Celebrates 75 Years of Excellence

The Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce is celebrating its 75th year of promoting and supporting business in Scottsdale. On March 6th, 1947, the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce incorporated under then President Wes Segner. The city had a population of just over 2,000.  The Chamber urged Scottsdale businesses to build or remodel buildings with Western-type architecture to amplify the town’s unique character and adopted the slogan “The West’s Most Western Town.”

Applications Now Being Accepted for the 36th Annual Sterling Awards

Applications are now being accepted for the 36th annual Sterling Awards Celebration to be held November 18, 2022, at the Embassy Suites Scottsdale. The deadline for entries is Friday, July 29. Applications can be downloaded and submitted at www.scottsdalechamber.com. Anyone that is a current member of the Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce may apply.

Scottsdale Economic Development Bus Tour to Highlight New and Upcoming Projects of Significant Impact to Scottsdale’s Economy

The Scottsdale Economic Development Bus Tour is a joint presentation of the Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Scottsdale’s Economic Development department. It features a guides luxury coach tour that will drive the length of the city highlighting new or planned projects that will have a major impact on Scottsdale’s Economy. The purpose is to create “economic ambassadors” through education and awareness. There will be featured speakers along each of the four segments of the tour including Scottsdale Mayor David Ortega, Chamber President & CEO Mark Stanton, City of Scottsdale Economic Development Director Rob Millar, plus speakers from ASU SkySong, The Plaza Companies, the City Planning Office, Transwestern, DMB Associates,  Scottsdale Airport, and more.

Mask Mandates and Proof of Vaccination Requirements Lifted for Scottsdale Forward Economic Symposium

(March 29, 2022)

It was announced today that the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, host of the upcoming Scottsdale Forward economic Symposium, will be lifting the Covid restrictions that had previously been in place. The facility had mandated that all attendees provide proof of full vaccination or provide a Negative PCR Covid-19 Test Result, taken within 72 hours of event, along with photo ID to attend per the Center’s Covid-19 Health & Safety Policy. Masks were also strongly suggested. The centers decision was based on current trends and risk factors for the virus in the community, in conjunction with the center’s health advisors.

Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce Supports Face Covering Mandates

(September 22, 2020)

Today, the Board of Directors for the Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce formally approved a resolution supporting a local requirement that individuals wear facial coverings to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. The mask regulation had been in place since June 19, 2020, when it was implemented via emergency proclamation by Mayor Lane.
